The low last night was about 25 and it was 29 when I stumbled out the door to shoot this morning. Four magazines and I’m ready to go back inside.
This pistol is one of my most accurate that I have. The only thing I don’t like about it is cleaning it. It’s not so much the cleaning as it is the putting it back together.

I got one of those kits EABCO that make putting my MKII back together a breeze. I think it was about $20 but well worth it. I just noticed it stated it doesn't work on the 22/45. Too bad because it really helps.

Dang in the 20's up there already!

When I was looking at those few years ago I decided to go with the S&W Victory since you only removed one
screw to take it down for cleaning. Of course Ruger then brought out the Mk. IV with the take down button shortly after I bought the Victory.
Can you shoot out your backdoor during those cold days?

I don’t shoot from inside the house if that’s what you mean. I do shoot outside just a few feet from the door. Same in the front.

Get an ice fishing shelter and set it up on your porch, add a portable 1500 watt electric heater and shoot out through the open door. i have no experience with them, but I do have a Clam screen tent for warm weather camping and it is very excellent.

Make sure the muzzle and chamber are outside the tent when firing and I don’t think the fumes will be a bother… you could even set up a fan blowing outward.
