Still kickin'....
Been busy that's all. New grandson, lots of black powder shooting, getting the homeplace ready for winter, I even took up learning a second language, Niitsi'powahsini (Blackfoot language). Seemed a good way to connect to the era I love, and a mountainy-man thing to do. Don't know who I'll talk it to without getting accused of cultural appropriation but I'm doing it anyway.
50 yds off hand on a windy day, you can see the pull to the right and I was aiming just left of the 8" steel plate to get them on it. Good practice though, if you wait for a calm day around here you'll never shoot. Hence the name of my flintlock "Chinook". .50 cal Frontier flintlock, .50 gn Goex 2F, .480 patched ball.
Thanks for the well wishes in the other post, yes I do like to escape to 1820 as often as I can.
See ya next time, thanks for lookin', RR

Good to see you back, RR. Had me worried, but I do understand about being so busy, getting ready for winter.

Yep, you gotta live in the north to appreciate the tasks. But I know many of our southern members were from the north originally before they were smart enough to escape.North Country Gal wrote: ↑Sun Sep 25, 2022 4:00 pmGood to see you back, RR. I've had only a few years of cattle production. I understand what it takes to get ready for winter. I'm sure you will be content by the fire. You live a life I envy. Except for the back breaking part. God Bless you my friend.

Remember, it's not how many guns you have. It's how many bullets you have.
