Ranges out here have been closing early since opening from covid. Around 6, by the time the better half gets home, that's a no go.
Oh and that other thing that happened this year.

I posted one middle of Aug., you never commented though.
Cooler weather coming more will get out.
I'm shooting the 38-55 off the deck now, but just ringing gongs.

Just a prop for the picture. πŸ˜‰
A nice shed I found years ago walking fence lines, back when we raised cattle.

I must have missed that one Randy. Is the .38-55 case slightly tapered like the .45-70?

Yes sir, it and the 444 also, all 3 have that slight taper.
It has a very mild recoil, and is a pleasure to shoot.

Probably lack of participation, and comments just like the one I started Monday morning. Only myself and JEB have commented. Probably be my last, and it's even a damn Henry rifle. I had more participation in my last thread about my Savage 6.5.

Fine tuning my Sshot 44 mag with some 260 gr hard cast gas checks and H110. So far targets not worth sharing. 240gr speer jsp's grouped well. Will also try some 240 gr casts with Unique and see how those fly.

Now the reason is Honey Do's and Doc appointments. I should get to shoot tomorrow. :D
