Range Report: daily plinking

Post by Sir Henry » Sun Sep 18, 2022 9:28 am

I think my last dozen range reports have all been the same. Today I stepped out on my front deck while still in my pj’s and drinking my first cup of coffee. This time I shot a few tubes of .22 Quiets in my Mare’s Leg.

It’s nice having my daily shooters handy.

Ammo, targets and magazines are all handy.

I can even store the longest of long guns. That’s a 24” Frontier in the middle.

This may not be a very exciting report but I think that’s the best part. No more making plans to go to the range. I simply shoot on a moment’s notice.

I still need to complete my side range. The two trees and flower bed need to be removed and the berm completed. I doubt I’ll finish the berm this year however I do want to remove the trees. The flowers will be beaten down and covered in snow.

I envy you with all that open space around your house. Hate to see you lose those two tress, though, but I understand.

The deer will hate to see them go too. You can see where they ate the lower buds this spring.

Thanks forty. It’s all starting to come together. I shot the CZ at the side range.

It didn’t like the Quiets.

The Norma Tac-22’s were much better. I stopped at four because the target wasn’t pinned at the corners and kept blowing over the cardboard.

That’s too bad. Yard rats I call them.

I have an air soft rifle I use with biodegradable bb’s that I use to encourage them to go elsewhere. (Sorry neighbors. )

That CZ is a tack driver with the Norma’s. Wow!

They don’t do damage and as far as I know don’t carry diseases. The crows on the other hand shot to xxxx on my tractor. On the seat.
