I shot a bit more this morning from my front porch still wearing my pj’s. Sorry no picture of the pj’s.
I was shooting my mare’s leg in .22 rimfire. First I shot Aguila HV shorts then switched to CCI SV LR. I’m shooting at the same spinner as yesterday. It’s barely visible to the right. Also barely visible is three sand cranes in the distance. They weren’t the least bit concerned nor was my cat just ten feet away inside the house.
It has a custom large loop similar to the Rifleman’s.
Lyman globe up front with a post insert.
The mount not visible is a Williams and the peep is a Steven’s 3-hole.
The Mare’s Leg sight radius is really short and that is why I put the receiver sight on it. Here it’s next to a Classic and makes the radius the same. You can see the dovetail plug in the ML. The front sight mount/hanger was modified by Skinner to accept the dovetail Lyman Globe.
Spring has sprung. Get out and shoot your Henry

More plinking this time with a 10/22 Charger with a Mare’s Leg stock. I prefer the 15 round magazines over the 10 rotary. The 25 round bananas are too long.

A pair of fine shorty 22 shooters Gene! Like the look of that Charger too. Which one is the most fun to shoot?

They are both equal to shoot although the Henry gets more use. The real fun part was building them. The Ruger has a polished receiver, a stainless steel barrel and a Hornet trigger and of course the cutdown stock and scope. The Henry has been described in the first post.fortyshooter wrote: ↑Sun Aug 14, 2022 12:33 pmA pair of fine shorty 22 shooters Gene! Like the look of that Charger too.
