20 ga Shockwave

Took out my 20 gauge Shockwave for the first time today. Was shooting 2-1/2' no 8 & 3" no 2 shells at some stationary clay targets. Can definitely feel the difference. Holding up the gun to aim with the 2-1/2" wasn't bad and did the same with the 3" but held it tighter and did not have a problem.
Also took out three 22 pistols.

From right to left is a Colt Woodsman with a 6" barrel, Colt Challenger, and a Browning Challenger ll. Shot 250 rounds with the 22s and did ok. Certainly not RR caliber but I had fun. Need to do that more often.

I'm interested in the 20 gage. Are you liking it? Seems to be an ideal HD firearm.

I do like it! It is obviously easier to handle than a 12 gauge. Even with the 3" shells I could hold it out eye high to aim without hitting myself in the face. Shooting from the hip wasn't bad but I think it would take a bit more practice to be hitting clays at 15 yards consistently. I have a bracket that clamps on the magazine tube for a light so I think it is a good addition to my HD.

Had mine by the bed last couple nights. Nice easy handling and shooting.

I have had the 12 gauge for a number of years now, since shortly after they came out. I added the Streamlight TL Racker forearm which has a light built in, and a red dot I had left over from a SIG I have with iron sights. Nice Combo for night vermin raiding the coop, or bad guys raiding the house. It's a handy little package and with the sling, even Miss T was surprised how controllable it is with 12 gauge ammo.

A view of the Streamlight... IT lights up a large area at night, or the entire hallway, or room.

You squeeze that rubberized area above the forearm to turn the light on.

But, I probably would have grabbed a 20 gauge for Miss T if they had them when we bought this one. We bought this when they first came out and none of the additional options were available. No wood stock versions, no 20 gauge, 410?

Looks like it would be fun shooting it.
