Thanks Randy; that was fast. Went to an indoor range with just my Pietta .45 Colt/.45 acp. 12 yards only, as these were new loads.
Center is 20 rounds .45 Colt with 6.0gr Red Dot/250gr coated rnfp T&B bullets. Upper left, are factory "Leverevolution" I was given a couple years ago.
Lower right, I switched cylinders to .45 acp using 230gr X-treme plated and 3.8gr Clays,20 rounds. Lower left is .45 acp with same bullet, but, 5.4gr Universal, 15 rounds. I'll be loading more of all to try at 20-25 yards next time. The Pietta shot well and pretty sure I finally got thr trigger pull figured out. All in all, pretty darn happy with the shoot. Thanks again to Randy for posting pics. I always appreciate the help. First time in a in-door range in years. It ain't the desert, but, it's close by.

Great shooting! Two of my favorite calibers although I’ve never shot a lot of Long Colt.

No problem Tom. You're more than welcome.

Some nice shooting fer sure.
Believe it or not I have never shot in an indoor range.
Even when I took my carry permit class we shot outdoors.
Hey it was probably a little cooler than the desert. πŸ˜‰

Those are some excellent groups. Good work.

Of all the single action convertible setups I've owned and shot, I got the best accuracy for both cartridges in the 45 Colt/45 ACP versions.

Great shooting Tom and other than the lower left they all look good. I like the 6 gr. Red Dot load for the .45 Colt.

forty, that Red Dot load, I'm pretty sure I got that from you. I like it a lot. I'll be loading up more of those shortly for a bit further shooting.
Finally happy with the Pietta. Now, some more loads also for .45 acp. Not a big fan of in-door ranges, so, I'll go the mountain range next time.

Thanks Jake. I wanted to find out what these newer loads would shoot like, hence the closer range[12 yards]. Now, I have something to work with.
Really am liking that Red Dot load. Heck, might even try some in the .45 acp loads.

Yep I don't like the indoor range either. For .45 ACP 6.0 gr. of Unique works well for 230gr plated RN bullets and PowerPistol isn't bad either if you want a bit more speed within pressure limits.

Nice shooting Tom. You've got that Pietta well dialed in. From what I see, that pistol seems to like whatever load you shoot.

Nice going Tom. When I still had my Ruger in the convertible the 45 acp cylinder shot better than the colt cylinder. It was more fun to

Yeah, it's fun, no doubt. And I have a TON of loaded acp rounds. Mostly with Universal and all with 230gr RN of some make. I like it a lot in either revolver or my 1911-A1.
