Springtime in the Rockies

Post by RanchRoper » Sun May 15, 2022 3:15 pm

Shot my Frontier percussion rifle today, gorgeous day 55F and sunny. Took both flintlock and caplock with me, and used the flintlock for another competition target. But the one dialed in today was the caplock.

Pedersoli Frontier Percussion
50 yds off hand
50 grains T7 powder
.490 patched ball

Forgot how much fun this rifle is to shoot too, and it's quite accurate. 6 shots.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

My left eye is all puffed up with some sort of cold but I aim with the right eye luckily. :)

The only way I could put up an off hand target like that is with powder burns on it.

Fantastic shooting RR.
