Remington 141 and Ruger American .223

Post by Shakey Jake » Fri Apr 29, 2022 2:34 pm

As promised here are the target pics from this morning's shoot. I shot the 35 Remington first to sight in the new Skinner barrel peep. I only used four rounds moving the sight a little after each of the first three. I was happy with the result on the fourth shot and decided to conserve ammo.
I started off at the 50 yard range with the .223 to get it close then oved to 100 yards. The targe shown is the 100 yard target. Still a bit high and right but I'll take care of that the next time out. That Remington is a hoot to shoot!

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Those Remington pump rifles were very popular for deer hunting up here in the north woods. I see 141s and 760s for sale at estate auctions and they sell fast and for good money. Quite the woods rifle in their day.

It's just a real fun rifle to shoot. I don't know why but it is. Doesn't kick to bad either but you can certainly tell it when it goes off.
