Apr 23rd making smoke

Post by RanchRoper » Sat Apr 23, 2022 10:05 pm

Shrunk my target size today from 10" to an 8". Got 'em all on the black circle at 50 yds with the flintlock. Most in the inner ring. Off hand shooting. Slowly getting the feel of it. Not where I want to be just yet but it takes time.

Pedersoli Frontier flintlock
.480 patch ball
50 grains Schutzen 3fg

50 yds off hand

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

RR I would say that you and that flintlock are getting better each outing. Carry on and keep up the good work.

You do keep getting better and better. Are you working toward one ragged hole? Just wow.

I'm working toward the Davy Crockett movie shot where he puts 2 balls in the same hole.... :)

They're putting new target backboards up at the range this morning, then I'm off to fill them full of holes again.

Don’t you mean just one big ragged hole!
