. The hardest part of the session was getting my trigger finger to remember to push and slide the trigger downward when firing the Bond Arms Grizzly 45/410 2 shooter. After a rough start the more I shot it the easier it became and posted some good hits with .45 Colt loads on the targets and steel.
The little Grizz ran fine with only a couple issue with the Federal .410 loads. Had 2 light primer strikes on the bottom barrel and only with the .410 shells. Also the Federal .410 cases would stick a bit and needed a push out with a stick. These were Field Target No. 8 loads which is all I had.
.45 Colt ran fine and shot one of the 230 gr. XTP loads in the gel block. Got a little expansion result in a nice saw tooth edge of the bullet which went full 16 inch in gel block and hit wood block and bounced back.
Was able to hit the steel plates from 11 yds. and even a hit on the bowling pin target.
Just need to remember when going from a pistol or revolver to the derringer to slide finger downward while pulling back the trigger to get it to fire.
Will put two spent cases in and practice dry fire.
