The target: 1"Red bull @ approx 40yds from my back porch

The result: The high & right holes were unsupported off-hand. After settling down in prone, the last 5 shots were all in the red.

Conclusion: I'm better on my belly.

Neither. It was "Thataway maggot".
I just noticed something. That big hole in the cardboard was from a previous session with the Henry .41mag.

Seriously tho, it was 6 in boot, but that was in '63 with an M-1. Things have changed since then with the introduction of optics, different tactics, etc. so I don't know what they prescribe these days.
To be perfectly honest tho, I was a pretty good shot with a rifle years before I joined the Marines thanks to my father and a couple uncles.![]()
In '62 I had never fired a weapon in my life, but I was able to sneak by shooting the M-1,(Center Hold) and later shot Expert with the M-16 (6 O'clock Hold) . . .GunnyGene wrote: ↑Fri Oct 08, 2021 7:51 amNeither. It was "Thataway maggot".![]()

I meant the one to the right of the target. The one up top is a hang hole.fortyshooter wrote: ↑Fri Oct 08, 2021 11:17 am
