Henry .17 first day out with the varmint

Got the new Henry .17 cleaned of the factory gunk, mounted a scope on her and off to the range. Took a box of 50 17 gr CCI. Scope bell a bit big and I think I had clearance but it was hard to tell. Will have to decide if I'll go with a taller dove tail rings or different scope. Very windy in Oklahoma today but I was not saddened by the results at 100 yds with the wind. Got it zeroed and the last shots inside the red on my left was the end of the day.
I had a great time but will have to go back tomorrow to just have some fun. Need to decide on the scope or rings thing. Probably both because if I go scope it will be another Arken 6-24x50 ffp zero stop with lighted reticle. Before I get zapped for putting a high power scope on a rimfire, it doesn't make one bit of difference really. You can always run your power down and keep it there, if you like. Just can't run a 9 power past 9. As far as accuracy, makes no difference.
My opinion. (I think I've already posted this)

Boy, I love that cartridge! It’s a laser beam out of a rifle. What distance are you going to zero? For hunting a 145 yard zero works most excellent.

The 17 is one of my favorite calibers. It is especially accurate in my CZ.
