Range Report: Temple Shooting Range

Post by Sir Henry » Sun Sep 05, 2021 8:34 pm

We shot at a range today instead of hunting doves. I brought my No 5 Enfield, a Pattern of 1917, a 9822 BRNO, a Winchester 9410, and a P38 pistol to give to my friend and he shot them while I shot my Henry SGC.

It was hot and we both kept getting sweat in our eyes so neither of us shot stellar. I shot at 25 yards and was all over the place. Wish I could blame the vegetation but it was all shooter.

This was my best two targets.

I shot the left target and my friend shot the right.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

I hate sweating for no good reason. Don’t mind working up a sweat but when it starts getting in my eyes I am done. Considering the heat you shot better than I could have.
Glad you got to a proper range with your friend.

That is some good shooting period regardless of the conditions which sound terrible. Toss out those couple of fliers and that’s a tight group. Well done!

I called the flyers so I can’t blame the Henry. I was shooting 50 yard targets at 25 so it’s a little like looking into a car mirror to read objects are closer than they appear. If I had shot at 100 yard targets my groups would look even better.
