Took the Ruger New Vaquero .357 mag/.38 Special to the range to day and had a blast (pun intended).

Really had a good day, it was a lot fun, did a lot of plinking before putting something on paper.
Showed granddaughter the 1851 Navy (both of them) and the New Vaquero, she asked if I could teach her shoot the pistols. Said the cap and ball looked like fun and wants to learn how to load it. Only problem is school started and it cuts into our range time :x

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Vaquero
I have 2 pairs of New Vaqueros
A pair of .45’s I inherited from a son who moved to Denmark (which is like Larry the Cable Guy moves to Europe) and a pair of .357/.38
I shoot’em both but I have a friend who reloads the .45’s for me so I have a greater supply of those.
,357 mags in this country is liking finding Unicotn poop and I can occasionally find .38’s
Hoping to learn to reload soon from friend. Been scoping out estate sales and farm sales for equipment and watching the sales for starter equipment
