Nice time at my local range...

Post by Kissmybrass » Wed Aug 18, 2021 10:05 pm

I don't know if it's me or do my Missouri rounds like a hotter barrel? Or was I more relaxed?
First 50 yard target and a few 100 yard shots were all over the place but at the end of the day I was hitting at 50 fairly well.
Gas checks aren't as good so I'm gonna up the power next reload with 4198 and see if that helps (like the Hornady 100 yarders)
Trial and error and reloading is soooooooo fun! Gotta get some 400 grainers to test out -

Another man addicted to reloading. The question is do you reload to shoot or do you shoot to reload. Nice shooting.

I found the two suspect ones and reloaded them. Ran everything through my rifle before I left the house.

Nice shooting ! I wasn't a fan of cutting my brass down, but I did it for grins. I'm so glad I did and tried the Hornady 250g Monoflex bullets. My 1895GS, loves these. My loading is 43.5 gr. IMR 4198 with a stout crimp. 5 shots off a bench/bags, 1 ragged hole at 53 yd. The recoil is about half of that when I shot the Hornady 300g. HP. Try'em, you might like them. Good Luck. Keep us posted.
