Not impressed

Have not done a range report in a long time, soo..here is today.
At the cabin and pulled out the .22 SGC to try out again. Was at only about 30 yards, off-hand, but expected way better. Problem was me, not the rifle. Bees were buzzing my head and sweat rolling down my face from humidity because of an incoming storm.
Was about 85 degrees with almost the same humidity. Stopped just in time, as it poured rain. Only managed to get off 20 rounds.

That’s not bad considering the heat and humidity.

When the elements are against you you can’t expect to shoot the best even though might have been up to it.

I'd be missing the paper if bees were in the mix. And they get a little crazy like the rest of us in the heat. Nice group for off hand with bees and heat!

Thanks guys! Hope to try again within the next couple of days, however, this region is expected to get a LOT of rain in the next few days because of the storm moving in.

I most certainly agree that under those conditions, you didn't do bad at all .... better than I would have .... Fred on his way

Not bad at all Mark, especially under those conditions.
Not sure I could've done any better myself.
Glad ya got a little range time in.

Looks ok to me unless you were aiming for the bottom left one....good to see you shooting again.

I'd be okay with that offhand.

Thanks guys!
I can understand why some of you like to shoot in cooler weather.

I know those issues well! Looks good to me unless you were aiming for the target in the center of paper!! Could be the ammo too.

Any one of those shots would have taken out a 3 inch clay target on a bank where I shoot. Looks good to me.

These are what I was shooting. Not real fond of them, from past experience. I have some CCI Mini Mags that I'll try next.

That's very good offhand at 30 yards even under better conditions, Mark. Offhand is a whole different game than shooting from a rest and it takes regular practice to stay at your best.

I must say, I really took my time on each shot, despite the conditions.
I expected they would all look like that one flyer at the top. Must have been when a bee almost landed on my face!
Actually, I might have done better if I did NOT take as much time. Seems like the longer I hold on the target, the more I start shaking. Have to then lower the rifle, rest and then try again.

Those Remington Golden bullets arent so golden when it comes to consistency. I have a few more boxes of the 525 size and I get quite a few that jam the model 60 when shooting them. Not enough powder to run the action. Bought them a while back. Im not impressed with them at all.

They seem to leave my guns dirtier than others too.

Maybe same ammo as the Remington Thunderbolts but just another name. Some go bang and some a pop. I just shoot those in my 22 revolver.
