May 30th, Frontier .50 Shootin'

Post by RanchRoper » Sun May 30, 2021 3:46 pm

My Pedersoli Frontier .50 cal....gorgeous late spring day, 65F.

50 grains Triple 7 powder
.490 lead ball
.015 patch

Just some plain 'ol 50 yd off hand work today. I am getting used to shooting off hand now and rarely shoot this rifle from 1 knee as I have done with other rifles. It is just so comfortable standing up and shooting it.

50 yds for all, good fun knocking the box and cup off the top of the target board....just filled 'em with rocks.

Nice always fun to see those reactive targets jump with a 50 cal

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

The hell with the shooting, it’s just nice to see you standing in green grass with blue skies behind you! Well okay, the shooting was great too, good idea filling the cup and box with rocks and sending them to their doom.
