Target fun across the creek..........

Post by fortyshooter » Mon May 17, 2021 8:09 pm

Another working day at the range and got my piers in place for the bridge project.

So you know must cap the day with a bit of target fun and placed a paper plate on a tree across the creek.
I guess about 30-35 ft from where I was standing and fired 3 shots from the Rossi Ranch Hand. Not bad with those 255 gr. SWC 45 Colt loads using
9.5 Unique. A nice all around woods load for target and most anything else.

Looking good! Being able to shoot at home has been a lot of fun for me. There is something really different about working on a target range.

Gene, I agree about the being able to shoot at home.
Kinda nice to just walk out on the back deck and sling some lead at the back yard gongs. ;)

16 ft. to get on nice higher stable ground. Creek is low due to a lack of rain over the last several weeks and no rain in forecast for the next week.

Looks a little longer, but I believe ya. :D
Well with the water low, and no rain for a few it should make the chore a lot easier.👍
Can't wait to see the finished product.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Those concrete blocks are down right clever.

What’s that song? “The river’s gonna rise” or something like that.

Looks good but I bet those boards were cheap!
