May Shooting Match

Post by RanchRoper » Thu May 13, 2021 7:44 pm

Just a little 25 yd target for another forum monthly shooting match.

Pedersoli Frontier .50 cal, caplock
50 gr Triple 7 powder
.015 patch
.490 lead ball
25 yds off hand, you only get 6 shots
10 points for a circle
5 for just the card
-2 for the jokers

A little breezy, the king & queen helped me get the windage sorted out.

That's some fine shooting. I honestly don't think my eyes are up to that, anymore. Can you actually see those circles?

Actually not really, I can see the card marks in the corners, and of course the colors. But I couldn't tell heart from a diamond or which black one is which. I just knew the circles were there.

Also didn't quite get one shouldered in tight....took a whack from the recoil right in the upper bicep / shoulder area......won't do that again....ouch. Just took a Tylenol. :D

The more nuts the world gets, the further into the past I go. Be going to the range with a spear soon I guess. :)

Great shooting RR, I'd be lucky to hit a card.
Last Saturday I shot the 357-X and was all over a 10" target. To boost my ego I ordered a 10" gong from Targets7..... more than one way to skin a cat ;)
