Spring has sprung. Get out and shoot your Henry
45-70 to the mountain
45-70 to the mountain
Went up to look at current snowpack, determined that it will be a while before camping and fishing will be any good, but took the Henry 45-70 along for some “stump shooting “. As a long time bowhunter, I do lots of shooting at stumps, grass patches, etc at unknown yardages. Probably the best practice for hunting there is. Anyway, I apply the same concept to rifle and pistol shooting. Shot everything offhand with the 45-70, from about 25 out to about 100 yards, and the rifle performed admirably. Much more fun than punching holes in paper, and shows the practical accuracy of both rifle and shooter.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......
