Shoot'em Up Range Day.

Post by Headhog » Mon Apr 26, 2021 7:57 pm

Nothing special today, just took my Ruger PCC 9mm to the range and set up some steel. The Ruger is a fun, but heavy carbine to shoot. Being a 9mm Luger, the recoil is low and you can go thru ammo very fast. I use my Glock 17 magazines and load up 5 at a time. With all the shortages of ammo and components I have to limit how many rounds I take with me.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Sometimes the ho-hum days at the range are the best.

I'm very impressed with the accuracy. For a take down rifle I figured accuracy would be so-so, but it much better than I expected. I originally bought this so my grandson could use it and not be beat-up by recoil. We shoot it at my backyard range when he comes over. I put a red dot on mine since I find it much more forgiving with old eyes.

I owned the 9 also at one time but I have a neighbor who is as good as gold and takes care of my place when Im away. He also is always there to help if I need it. I gave him the PC-9 as a gesture for all his help. I think my 40 shoots more accurate than my 9 did. I also have a red dot on mine.
