did some more testing.

After reloading some 357 with 158 gr SWC at 5.6gr of UNIQUE I took it out to the range today just to see how they would shoot and also cron them. The 4 that I shot was 1221,1265,1249 and 1213. I might have to lower it back down to just 5. gr

That sounds like a decent load. If no leading and accurate, I'd say you're in.

My 357 Mag. loads run right in the same velocity range you indicate. I get no leading and they group well. I wouldn't change anything without knowing the group you're getting and if you show any signs of leading. I usually burn up 100 rounds at each range trip and go 2-3 range trips before i clean the rifle. I clean because I feel guilty, not because I have functioning or performance issues.

Well I don't know if it's the powder or what but when I clean I don't see any leading but it seamed like I could never get it clean. The patches keep coming out dirty. Until they start making more powder I have to use what I have.

Unique can burn dirty. Just keep running patches thru it. What solvent are you using? When things get cruudy, I use a 50/50 mix of Hoppe's #9/Kroil.
Seems to work well.

I use Gunzilla on my guns,(I load a lot of lead) swab the barrel, let it set wet for 5 min., run a patch or three with a jag, looks good. I like Gunzilla cleans great and NO harsh smell, not petroleum based.
