Shot this one this morning for a little friendly competition;
Frontier .50 cal
50 grains Triple 7 2f powder
.490 patched lead ball
Had to be 25 yds off hand to qualify. 1 shot at each 1.5" bullseye. No do-overs.
11F this morning at the range, zero wind though which is why I went early. Tough one for sure.

Typical spring day here....11F with snow, then 4 hours later 45F, snow is gone and sunshine. Saw someone in town with winter coat and flip flops on.

Took my full stock to the range today along with a pistol. Full Stock had issues. Found a load for the pistol but my rifle needs attention

Just one cap Forty. Never saw the hole until l was cleaning the rifle. The water was really spraying around. I then noticed the art work on the barrel. I was shooting of a bench trying to hit a Buffalo steel target at 100 yards. Had 80 grains in her. But the gun was shooting even lower than it had been because I was spanking steel swingers at 50 yards no problem. Im thinking I was losing quite a bit of pressure out of that hole.

RR, is that target from the Candian Muzzleloaders or the US muzzleloaders? Can you get copies made? I wouldlove to try my hand. By the way, that is purty darn fine shooting.
