Nice shooting! I practice quite often shooting without a scope. In fact, I only have one firearm with a scope. It is the one that I take in the woods. Other than that, open sights or aperture. And, I only have one firearm with an aperture (Henry 30-30). I typically practice with it out to 100 yards. My 30-30 with a scope, I practice with out to 200 yards. Between the two, I think I am covered for deer season. Others, I practice with at 50 yards or less (hand guns less than 25 and carbine at 50). To me, those are the most likely ranges that I will be using the firearms. But, shooting at any range is fun!
