Range Report: to windy to shoot

I tried shooting the springers this afternoon while a steak cooked on the barbie. It was windy and I had trouble hitting paper. I just checked the weather channel and it’s a steady 9 mph.
This was my best target. The worst was zero hits on paper.

I bought this Beeman P1 in the spring of 88 and could shoot it almost anywhere. At the time only three of 24 houses were built and I was surrounded on two sides with grass fields. It’s now all houses.

I’ve had this HW70 for about six years.

Yes I understand the wind thing...has been blowing around here last 6 days. Great that you give a few shots and enjoyed shooting!

I had the same problem. The day was supposed to be ok until, late evening. Not so, wind got up big time. Wait until a calm day to
works on my ladder loads. The rest of the week is supposed to be colder than a well diggers butt, so that's out.

I think maybe your 45-70 is a tad more stable in the wind! Oh by the way your laundry is now in my backyard.

Springer pistols are not easy to shoot, especially that P1. Bet you'd love a nice little springer rifle, though. Love our HW30. Ideal for 10 meter shooting.
We found an even lighter shooting springer in a vintage CZ/Slavia 631 Lux 177 cal on an online auction. Paid $60 for it and it soots great.

I have a GAMO Tomcat and don’t care for it at all. When I shoot it I feel like I’ve been rear-ended in a car accident. First I get thrown back and then into the windshield. Okay so maybe it’s not that bad. I use it for rabbit control.

It's 2 minutes to go set up my target at 100 yds and 40 minutes to walk back.
