I really thought I would like them, but they are hard to see with my goofy eyesight. Being far sighted in my right eye has the sights blurry unless I really hold my head just right to have the sights focused at arm's length through my progressive lenses. the Fiber Optic inserts are "ok", but don't offer a precise aim. It's weird that on my New Vaqueros with fixed "trough" rear sight and front blade, they are easy to see and I can aim more precisely.

I also have a Browning Buckmark UDX, it came with a fiber optic front sight, and I though upgrading to a set of fiber optic Williams sights (front and rear) would help it out, but I have the same problem with seeing those. So I put a Vortex Venom red dot on it, it looks a little goofy, but man that was the best upgrade ever! I just couldn't bring myself to put a red dot on a single action revolver...I kind of think adjustable sights look out of place on them too.

Go somewhere and hold one, you should know right way if they will work for you. With my NVs I don't need to use the progressive part of my lens to see the sights clear (enough*), I don't even need to wear my glasses at all...of course then everything is blurry with my left eye, but since I don't use that eye to aim it's fine.

On my Evil Roy, and daughter's Golden Boy, the rear buckhorn sights didn't work for me either, they are just too blurry and I can't tip my head back enough to get the rear sight in focus with my lenses...so I put peep sights on both of those. Now all three Henrys are good to go, no glasses needed.

Good for you, Cowpokey. Use what works. Nothing at all goofy about a red dot on a handgun, these days, especially an autoloader. Both of our S&W 22 LR autoloaders were a red dot. Even use a red dot on some revolvers.

My best bud over in West By God Virginia is the one that convinced me to put it on my Buck Mark. He has one on his S&W Victory, and said it's the only way to go for us "ole folk"...the word he used wasn't "folk" lol.
