Ok - the extractor doesn’t work. It is a single shot. I hunt with a single shot (I have a couple of them) and a muzzle loader. Can’t remember a time when I wished I had a bolt gun or something for a quick follow up shot.

That 200 yard target. One knee. Peep sight. My goodness you “two” can shoot.
This is just an opinion from an OK shooter at best but I don’t think I’d let anybody breathe on it. If someone said to me “I have the perfect rifle for you but there’s one problem....” and then showed me YOUR target at 200, shot off one knee with irons my check book would already be out. Again - this is just my opinion.
:D ....just your opinion?....I'll take it and run with it my friend. Thanks....

Cold weather and snow this weekend and my 1885 is going to get a workout...watch for a range report.

Will be watching for it! Might get mine out this weekend too! I recently took the rear sight and opened up the notch a bit so I can better see/find the front bead. Want to see if I shoot it better.

Hey RR I still think that neck sizing and even if you dont want to anneal the brass might help with that issue . Might try it with a couple three four rounds and dont crimp it.

Just curious, is the extractor popping off the rim of the brass or is it staying in behind the rim?

Behind the rim. It can’t bring the case out.
