I know the vendor I mentioned earlier sells 1/2" AR500 steel targets. I think they are recommended for the high velocity .223 and .308 ammo. if you plan on leaving them outside, be sure to spray a coat of rust proof paint on them when you are done shooting. AR500 steel will rust but they are very tough targets.
