No, I'm going to try the factory loads first. That way Henry won't be able to question the handloads.

Factory ammo? Perhaps reloads would group better - certainly no worse.

agree, we've loaded all of our ammo since the mid 60's .... however, for liability reasons, Henry can't recommend using anything but factory ammo that is manufactured to SAAMI standards .... for that reason its best to base the issues a person reports to them are based on using factory ammo

No, fortunately. I was doing some household chores for my mom. She usually has a list of them for me whenever I go up. It takes some of the boredom out of just watching television and saves her some money. Anyway, somehow I managed to have something go wrong in my neck. I hope it's not a slipped disc. The ER did X-rays but I think I'd have to have a MRI for that to show. They just gave me some "happy" pills for the pain (hydrocodone) and a muscle relaxer (cyclobenzaprine). The ER doctor also shot me up with lidocaine in three places surrounding the painful area. If it doesn't get better soon I'll follow up with a local doctor.

Well, finally took the Henry back to the range this morning and am now full of crow. I shot 35 rounds of American Eagle 85 gr soft point at 50 yards. The first shot was the lowest shot on the target but the rest did comfortably well. I know it will never shoot as well as my bolt guns, but think if I had a little trigger work done I could minimize some of the floaters. I am also rethinking my current reload. It did well with the other barrel but maybe this one not so much.

after spending time with you on a range, that's the type target I'd expect ..

based on what he did for the triggers on our 44 Mag and 45-70, he most certainly can .... when you speak to him please tell him hello for me
