Re: 1911 kind of girl
My pal at our LGS has the Rock Island 10mm and talks it up a lot, trying to get me to buy one. Of course, he also gives me the usual Glock 10mm pitch, because he has one of those, too. Asked him, point blank, which is the most accurate and he said the Rock. Do plan to go back to the 10mm as a bear gun, but won't need to do that till spring, now. Have all winter to decide.
Re: 1911 kind of girl
I had both also and got rid of the Glock. I just dont like them and dont shoot them well at all. Matter of fact the only double action I have other than the 9mm shield I carry on a daily basis that I like is the CZ75B both in 9mm and 40. I dont do well with any of the others Sig, Springfield, and Glock. Im not saying there bad guns they just dont do well for me. Now the Sig and Springfield 1911's Im fine with. I love the Rock in 10mm but dont shoot it very often. Al

Re: 1911 kind of girl
Know what you mean, Al, about shooting other semi-autos compared to 1911s. Real hard for me to adapt after shooting 1911s so much. Oh, I know I need to branch out and go with a double stack auto, sometime, for the sake of the times and I probably will, at some point. Darn 1911s, though, have to be one of the most addicting guns I've ever owned and that's saying a lot. Even had to be pushed a bit just to go 9mm in a 1911. Still much prefer the 45 auto. Just as addictive as the gun, itself.

Re: 1911 kind of girl
Ya gotta love that kind of reliability. Makes for a gun you can trust. I do carry revolvers, sometimes, for self-defense, but for reasons other than their supposed better reliability. The semi-autos I carry have been 100%. Can't get any more reliable than that.
