The brass version will reduce the weight of the gun and brass would not be suitable for a 45 Colt that moved into Ruger only 45 Colt loads, but it does have a look all its own. I like it on a single action, but MUCH prefer the antique look of faded brass. Gives it that no-nonsense workhorse of a gun look I like.
