New 44 Magnum Big Boy Silver
I have taken my new Henry out to my indoor range to get used to it. This was 10 shots from 70'. My local indoor range only goes to 25 yards. I did not go all the way to 75' because the range lighting falls off and does not work well with my 60 year old eyes.
All in all, I am getting used to the buckhorn sights. There were a couple "fliers". I really cannot call them that, but had to try.
I am very impressed with the firearm as are others at the range. It gets a lot of questions and looks. Others ask to shoot it and are impressed with the quality etc.
I am looking for the weather to turn to at least 40 degrees so I can shoot outside at a range.

Great looking target! "Fliers!" That's hilarious!
Thanks for sharing. Would love to see pics of the rifle, too, when you get a chance.

Excellent target results, including those "fliers." And what always impresses me is when someone uses the buckhorn sights that well, even with "60-year-old eyes." Actually, any age eyes + the buckhorn impresses me.
Good shooting.
I also would like to see some rifle pics. Haven't seen that many shots of a BB Silver.
Thanks for your Range Report.
Enjoy.

Yep you have a nice and big ragged hole! Nice shooting for the old eyes club...which I am a member too!

I will work on some photos over the next few days and post them.
I was impressed with the sights. I left them as the factory set them and all the shooting was from a standing position free hand. I was very pleaseda and at first sceptical of the buckhorn sights...
Thanks for all the comments!

I took the insert out on mine and opened it up to .135 which gives me a bit more open space around the front sight bead.mrowan wrote:I will work on some photos over the next few days and post them.

This helped me get centered on a target better and not lose track of the sight bead.

You take that pic on the front porch? I bet the neighborhood kids keep off your lawn!fortyshooter wrote:mrowan wrote:I took the insert out on mine and opened it up to .135 which gives me a bit more open space around the front sight bead.

No... That picture was on my deck which is 50-80 yds from my target areas down at my range.

As requested and then promised, the attached link is a photo of my new Henry Big Boy Silver in 44 magnum. I installed the larger loop because of my hand size. It works much better for me.
Best,
Mike
