Smallbore Lever Action Match

Post by Ojaileveraction » Sun Feb 17, 2019 8:30 pm

Shot another Smallbore Lever Action Match today.
I really like the 39a Mountie. It really did it's Job today.
It hit whatever/were ever I was aiming. I just have to aim better.
Shot a 14 but knocked some of everything down this time.
I'm thinking of shooting 22lr in Pistol Caliber.
That way I only need to practice with 1 rifle for both disciplines .
22lr may not knock them down as well as 357 but you have to hit them first.
Same distaces, same size target, just heavier, 2x+.

Suggest you not waste your time shooting the 22lr at PC targets. The only ones you'll get to go down are the chickens...you may get a turkey if you hit it in the head..but wouldn't waste your entrance money,,, just shoot the rimfire lever twice...BobG in VA

I'm with Bob dont bother with the 22 for pistol cal. There are a few here in Aus that use 22 magnums in the pistol cal and even they struggle with rams using 50gr ammo.
