Cowgirl Corner: more revolver madness

Rough week for my allergies and, therefore, me trying to shooting iron sights. Red dots to the rescue, though. One thing I love about S&W revolvers that all models with adjustable sights are drilled and tapped for scope mounts. Hard for me not to get my usual long-winded self about these revolvers and my love of revolver shooting, but thought you'd just like to see some pics. Let me know if you have questions about any of these Smiths, though.

By the way, saw a Uberti Yellow Boy in 45 Colt at our local guns hop, yesterday. It NIB from a collection. Nicely done reproduction, very smooth action. Had me thinking of you.

I hurt for you and your allergies. I have all year allergies, I have teas that usually work. When they are really bad it's called Aleve cold and sinus with a coolatta, and time in front of the AC. At night cold mist humidifier, benedryl, and a face ice pack.
I hope your not as bad...

PT, that scope rail on the 327 comes from the factory. It can be removed. Part of the gun's design. Red dots and actually don't do much to change the balance of these revolvers, especially that Burris Fastfire on the Model 17. The Burris actually doesn't add anything in weight. It's an outstanding red dot for a pistol or revolver. Not cheap, but given how much I shoot the Model 17, now, I'm getting my money's worth. Plan on taking it on every range trip.

The other two are Ultradots. I've been using these for many years, now, on every imaginable kind of gun include some almost suicidal-to-shoot magnums. Never had one fail, yet.

Really, nothing beats a red dot on a handgun for target work, action shooting, shooting metal and the like. Especially enjoy shooting in DA with red dot. Fun, fun, fun and super fast.

Dahliathemeh, thanks for your concern. No, I don't have it as bad as you, at least not up here in our north woods, since we don't have many weeds. Have lived in farm country, though, and then, yeah, much like you. Take care.

What can I say, NCG? I'm red/green color blind. One time I was with my son-in-law at his outdoor range and he mounted a red dot on a Henry for me to try out. I swung the barrel back and forth so many times trying to find the red dot, he said to me, "You can't take that to any other range when you're doing that. They'll throw you off the range and say you've been drinking!!"

Glad you have "Fun, fun, fun and super fast." The best way to spend range time!

BTW, I'm a former cheesehead, too. It was great living in WI years ago.
