Range Report: no rocks to move

Post by Sir Henry » Tue Jul 22, 2025 10:38 am

People tell me I live in a wonderful place and I do. The problem is I’m a slave to it and will be for the next two years. I’m waiting on a rock delivery so have a day off.

I shot the Charger Mare’s Leg today at gongs and traps at 35 yards. This old picnic table is my bench but I was shooting mostly off hand.

I had four of these made and they work great.

This is an old child’s swing frame. The gong on the left fell to the ground.

These traps are setting on a pickup box rail stuck in the ground. My range is make mostly with junk that has been repurposed.

Yep, a well deserved day off. Your “junky” range is wonderful. :D

My mother's favorite saying was "waste not, want not". She would be proud of your repurposed items. They now have a new life.

Glad you took a day off to do some shooting, Gene. Yeah, we both know that you have to get those work projects done in our short summers.

Around here they call it Snow and No Snow, but Snow always wins.

They are just decorative.

I know I'm new here and all, but may I invite myself over? I'm not too far from Milwaukee. How far away is your backyard range?

When we moved here to be close to the grandkids, I was hoping for a larger plot of land, but that didn't work out. You've got a great thing going on there. Enjoy your blessings.

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff
