It's pumpkin carving time again.....

Post by fortyshooter » Wed Oct 23, 2024 7:00 pm

And this time the carving tool is my Henry .357 Carbine and first time I have tried this with a rifle. Didn't turn out too bad shooting my mild Magnum load of MB 158 gr RNFP bullets over 6 gr. of Power Pistol. They shot right on point from 8 yds which is great when having to slightly enlarge the hits.
The other pumpkin I used to see the difference between the pumpkin load and a hit with a 158 gr. XTP bullet moving a typical Magnum speed. Yeah made a big hole compared to the one below it! :o

Looks like fun, might have to give that a try next week. Let the deer come trick or treating when I’m done. They love pumpkin.

He looks shocked. Poor fella. 8-)
Nice job.

I'd try er with the 357 max, but they'd be picking up punkin pieces two counties over.
You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.

I don't look back at the things I can't do anymore with regret, I just look forward to the things I still can.
