New shooter in the family
Starting to get my wife involved in the shooting sports. She had never held a firearm up until 4 weeks ago. She asked about going early yesterday afternoon so we packed up & off we went. We took my AR-7 for me and my S&W M&P 22 for her. Was a bit windy, but otherwise a great day. We sat up targets, hers at 25 feet, mine at 25 yards. I had got her some squirrel targets since they like to dig in her flower beds & that bugs her to no end. 5 rounds in the mag and bang bang. She got her 1st bullseye. In a total of 30 rounds fired, we could account for every shot on the target. I have to admit, I had more fun watching her than shooting my AR. I did ok, 12 inch target at 25 yds .no misses. I figured out I was shooting to the right a bit so the last mag I corrected a bit to the left, final mag was 7 hits inside the 9 ring w/2 bullseyes and #8 on the edge of the 8 ring. over all, a great day.

Good job on getting her out shooting and good choice with the .22s to start.
You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.
I don't look back at the things I can no longer do, I just look forward to the things I still can.
