Range Report: tool box test

Post by Sir Henry » Mon Sep 12, 2022 5:49 pm

I had to test how hard it would be to grab a firearm and get off a few shots. I just finished mowing and had a hankering to shoot.

The closet target is 25 yards from my front porch and the target that I mowed out to is 50 yards. I shot the furthest target from about 35 yards. Any guesses as to what I was shooting?

Shadow looks like there is a 25 round magazine. I will go with 10/22.
Load on Sunday and Shoot all Week.......okay it's a Mare's Leg I will reload on Wednesday. ;)

Both right. It was the 10/22 Charger Mares Leg with a scope. Nice little shoulder plinker out to 25 yards. After that some sort of support helps like taking a knee.

It was nice having everything downstairs.

15 round, the 10’s are rotary and hard to handle. The 25’s are too big. I usually load the 15’s with just 10 rounds.

Thanks. This is the view to the northeast. My deck faces due east. I can not see any home that is lived in. The school house is empty and the log cabin is now a storage shed. Behind no buildings are visible.
