Next weekend I expect to spend some time getting to know this rifle. I am sure my cleaning paranoia will calm down after a pile of lead goes down range. My routine with the cartridge guns is quick and easy and they shoot great. This one will be no different. So far no water in the gun and that’s how I prefer it if possible. Just my own preference.

Someone suggested a bore mop instead of jag and patch. Will try that. Back to the range Friday.
I have to say though, shooting this big ‘ol rifle is about as much fun as you can have with your buckskins on.
