Enjoy your new eye. I am happy for you.
I am enjoying my new eye, almost to the point of being giddy. I’ve been recommending the same surgery to all my family and friends. I hope yours goes as well as mine has.
Can I get it done at age 71? I doubt the VA would pay for it.

Congratulations, it is amazing what they can do for your eyes. Mine are not bad enough yet according to the Doc. Been wearing glasses since I was 12 and I would love to get rid of them if it is possible.
Great shooting!!

Medicare would pay for it for you. They will pay for the surgery and the regular lens but I have to pay extra out of pocket for the newer technology lens. I never did ask my VA doctor if they would pay but then I don't feel like driving an hour and a half to the big medical center so am going through my own eye care clinic doctor. He has been telling me for two years now that it isn't ready yet but this last time when I told him I had a hard time seeing to drive, he put the new request in to Medicare and got it passed.

I’m not a veteran and I’m not quite age 65 yet, so I can’t speak to any coverage available through the VA or Medicare. But I’m pretty sure there is no age limit for getting cataract surgery. Are you afraid you’re too old, or too young? ;)

Now that’s funny,
Maybe you could do what the youngsters do and set up a “go fund me” page?

I think my real problem is I don’t have cataracts. I just need my vision corrected.
