Re-introduction from North Carolina
Re-introduction from North Carolina
Joined up a while back, just never posted much, if any. I am a huge fan of the H&R Handi Rifles. Was sorry to see them go away, but was elated to see that Henry stepped up to the plate with the Henry Single Shot.
Since I am now a Henry Single Shot owner, I feel worthy to post here!
I just purchased a Henry Brass Single Shot in 357 Magnum. Very happy with it and a worthy replacement for the Handi Rifle I think. I will pair it with my H&R Buffalo Classic Carbine in 45 Colt this weekend and they will vie to see which one comes out on top. Could be a tight finish, the H&R BCC is a good one!
My favorite cartridges are the 357 Magnum, 30-30 Winchester, 22 Hornet, and 45-70. I like the 20 gauge for a shotgun. If Henry would just make their Single Shot in 22 Hornet, I could see a completely new hunting battery!

Welcome from Nebraska. Those singles are really catching on. Sounds like you’ll have fun.
Remember, it's not how many guns you have. It's how many bullets you have.

Well welcome back. Post up those range reviews when you get the chance. I am a .22 Hornet fan also, fun little cartridge. Have a CZ527 in the Hornet and would like a Taylors & Co falling block in one.
Re: Re-introduction from North Carolina
Welcome back, hoping to hear how the Henry stacks up against the H&R.
Re: Re-introduction from North Carolina
Taylors & Company 22 Hornet Would be a grail gun. Of course I would need it’s big brother in 30-30 as well!brettitt41 wrote: ↑Wed May 27, 2020 1:36 pmWell welcome back.
