Ordered my first Henry.... Golden Boy Cody Museum rifle

I have always been a gun guy! Starting back with early black and white TV and the Saturday morning westerns. I was born in 1941 so I have seen my share of changes in guns..... along with everything else. I haven't evolved too well as I am still a blued and walnut aficionado and don't want to change!
I live about 100 yards from the Old Santa Fe Trail so I have some close ties to days gone by.Just ordered a Henry Golden Boy Cody Museum 22 rifle that will arrive next week. Couldn't  pass it up. I can't wait to get it as I think this will be a heck an introduction to the Henry Family and and my family as well.
I have everything to learn about the Henry rifle so don't be too hard on me if I ask a stupid or common question.
I have rambled on more than enough.
Happy Trails To You
Doc

Thanks fortyshooter for the welcome. It may be a while for a range report as they closed the range for the corona virus and just reopened so there may be a waiting list. I have six guns that I haven't shot yet. One hour each way to my local range. It's about 2.5 hours each way to the NRA Whittington Center. I look at my guns much more than I shoot them. Slowing down.

I've never held a Henry rifle or even saw one in person. This will be a first!

Welcome from MS. Beauty rifle! I've never seen one of those in person. From what I read on the Henry site, they only made 1000 of that model. Congrats on scoring one. :)

Read thru the entire thread, and noticed your comment about a place to shoot it. Are you locked into a public/private range or can you get out in the countryside to shoot? Down here we haven't had any range closures, but even if we had there's plenty of off range spots to shoot. I have enough acreage of my own to hunt and shoot on, as do many of my neighbors, so even any range closures wouldn't effect most folks here. I kinda thought NM would be similar.
