Hello, folks, from middle Tennessee. Looked the forum over before signing up & it looks great. I also belong to the Walther forum ( PPS M2 w/RSMc, as well as the Tenn Gun Owners forum. Forums are a lot of fun + great info as well.
I'm not a Henry owner yet, but plan to buy a Henry 45/70 this year. Interested in the carbine, standard model. Can't really say that I need another gun, just an itch that I want to scratch, LOL.
Of course, being an avid reloader, I want to reload the 45/70, and will be looking for some advice as to do's & don't's.
Hope all have a great year & be safe.
Thanks,
Larry

I rarely ever buy a rifle, but when I do, it's a Henry.

welcome from France, Grunt67
i love 45-70 and reload this cl. since one years...
i hope you will have fun with big rounds ....
lot of people here have serious experience about reloading ...
they all gave me very good advice at the start, it was reassuring ... rather than working alone ...

Re: New member from Tenn
well understood and, in my book, a perfectly legitimate reason to buy one .... our Henry CCH 45-70 has a split personality, its proven to be one heck of a rifle .... loading your own ammo will provide you with the ability to make the most out of both of them .... load it with Cowboy Action level bullets and it can be a fun, pleasant rifle to shoot .... load it with Dangerous Game level ammo and it can turn into a hard hitting monster on both ends ..

Thanks, neighbor. I used to deer hunt in Natchez Trace State park, back in the 70's & 80"s. Transported inmates to & from West TN State prison, & Whiteville prison, when I was with the Trousdale Co. Sheriffs Dept. I live in Trous. co. near Hartsville.
Just an old country boy, LOL
