Rimfire Addict

Post by Cowpokey » Sat Sep 07, 2019 7:25 pm

As the title says, I'm hopelessly addicted to rimfire guns and shooting. Finally added a SGC .22lr a couple weeks ago, and go a Golden Boy .22lr for my 16yo daughter last week.

Other than shooting; I also do a lot of kayak fishing, riding my Harley, Jeep stuff, and retired from the USAF almost 5 years ago.

Welcome from the Show-Me-State, Cowpokey.
Good caliber to be stuck on. And the SGC .22 is a great Henry to shoot. I've had two of them.

Thanks also for your USAF service.

Another welcome from KC! SGCs are hard to beat, so please let us know how it does for you. Would love to hear about your daughter's range time, too!

Congrats on two fine Henrys!

Welcome

The majority of my fairly modest collection of firearms are rimfire. Numerous reasons why but yes rimfire is fun and better yet it cost less as well.

One in .22 short, it's an original 1890 Winchester pump manufactured in 1911. All of the others are .22lr. My dad really wants a Golden Boy in 22 Mag...I tried finding one for him last week while the folks were here visiting (from Missouri), but none of the LGS had one in stock.

Would your dad consider a .22LR, then shooting CCI Mini-Mag (or similar)?
