I’m on the Central Coast of California, and new to the forum. I currently own two Big Boys, .357 and .45 Colt. Through family, I came into possession of a 100+ year-old Ideal Tool Co. reloading tool which I restored to working condition. The tool is for .38-55. Being a caster and reloader, it is a proud piece for me to own, but I didn’t have a rifle in .38-55, until now. I have the new side-gate in 38-55 ordered through my LGS. It should be in any day now

Welcome to the forum glad you joined us. I have one of the new side gates in my possession. I like it alot though I havent shot it yet. Please visit our how many thread and add the 2 you have to our running total.

I have several 38-55's in other brands. The new Henry has a tighter bore on it than any of the others I own. 38-55 is really a neat old caliber and very easy on the shoulder when shooting it. If you check out youtube Iragvet 8888 has a great review on the new Henry.
