Newbie from PA

Long time hunter....and I own many, many types of firearms, but still don't own a lever action. I'm primarily a handgun hunter, but I was fondling a Henry All-Weather lever action in .44 Magnum at my local gun shop the other day. They also had a Marlin in the same caliber, but the Henry looked so, so appealing. Think after the New Year I might be grabbing that Henry!

Welcome, Steve. I didn't know they had the .44 in 'all weather' flash yet.
I just bought the BBS .44 carbine though, so I doubt I would buy two...
Then again, you can't have too many Henrys.

Welcome from Colorado Steve. I own a couple of Marlins a new one and an older one in 38-55. The 38-55 is a good gun but the newer one is terrible. I own several Henry's and you cant beat there customer service and guarantee they are second to no one. Al

Welcome from the Shenandoah Valley, Virginia.

We've got one of the Henry All Weather 44Mags - it is one of the nicest handling Henrys we own - very well balanced and just "feels right" when you bring it up to the shoulder. I think it is a much better buy than a new Marlin in 44Mag. Don't get me wrong - I really like Marlins (have over a dozen), but the Henry is just a step above at this point in time...

Welcome, if you were secretly hoping someone would try to talk you out of getting that all weather beauty you came to the wrong place. :)
We tend to be enablers here.

You know you need it.

the first Henry I bought was a BBS 44 Mag .... back then, they hadn't come out with a 44 in their All-Weather line .... our BBS shoots extremely well so there is no way we will part with it .... that said, if they had of been available in the All-Weather line, that is probably what I'd have ordered

What part of PA steve?

I think the All Weather will be my next rifle. I've toyed with the idea of a 45-70 but since I don't yet reload I think it would be cost prohibitive. Maybe 30-30? Anyway, you will really enjoy it! I love by BBS in 357.
