Hello From Pennsylvania

I just today bought a Big Boy Carbine in .44 mag and thought this would be a great place to learn about my new carbine. Years ago I owned a Marlin 1894P, 16" ported barrel in .44 mag. and in an out of mind moment traded it in. I really missed that Marlin and since then I've been looking for another without any luck. With the poor reputation of the new Remington/Marlin rifles, I didn't want one of those. When I saw that Henry was making a carbine version of their Big Boy rifle it seemed like a very good option. After looking the gun over I feel I made a very good choice.
Well anyway, hello from Pennsylvania and I hope to get to know a few of you better.

welcome indeed, happy to have you join us .... hour Henry 44 Mag has quickly become one of our favorite rifles ..... I'm sure yours will serve you well .... please take a look at our How Many ? thread (link below) and add yours to our community's total

Welcome from Colorado. The carbine version of the pistol calibers is definitely my favorite. I really like the way they handle. I have one in Ranchroper caliber.

Welcome from the Shenandoah Valley, VA. You made a good choice in a Henry 44Mag - I think they are made just as well as the older Marlins....
