Hello,
I am excited to share that I just picked up my new Henry Steel Carbine in 357 as well as a new Marlin 336, 30-30 in Stainless. Just to share, both my wife and I prefer the action of the Henry to the Marlin, but hopefully the latter will get smoother. I purchased the Marlin because I had to sell one many years ago and promised I would someday replace it. The old one I purchased used and was a JM. It was well worked in.
I find the comments on this forum very positive. I will not be getting a scope for the Henry, but perhaps a Skinner peep size in the large aperture for quick pick up. Anyone directly compare it with the less expensive Williams?
I'll stay in touch!
