new NH member - any others

Just completed my collection of Henry Golden Boy rimfire rifles (.22lr, .22 mag, .17hmr). Thinking of putting Skinner sights on them. Have used them before on other lever guns. Heard the factory fronts sight on the rimfires can often work with the added Skinners.
Also have a .41 Mag Big Boy steels. Can't wait for the .327 Fed Mag. in Golden Boy.
Always looking for advice on how to convince (assuage) the wife about a new gun - I mean investment.
My recent Weim puppy is named L.C. for last chance. An old man needs one more bird dogs to trudge behind in the woods. A shaky voice is employed at this point, teary eyes if you can manage.
Currently I am using the argument that selling a 'set' of Henrys in rimfires is better than selling just one. Anyone with real world experience with this issue? I also content, a lever gun needs to be paired with a wheel gun for maximal fun and profit on the back end.
As far as me... transplanted Midwesterner into the NE, the Granite State. The locals seem real enough not sure about all the neighbors to the south that move up for the view; the view after all the trees are cut down. Getting ready to retire from 26 years in the uber liberal environment of a Ivy league medical school. I am the only professor who wears Bates boots to work. Feet are fine while head exploded in another meeting. The leaders waste 20-30 million dollars and still want to lead.
I am interested to know how many forums the membership frequents. Lots of them out there. Most are entertaining and informative. From one of the forums, I know what bear self-defense gun I will take to Alaska with me. I am told I will not likely get to use it to defend myself, but my Ruger .480 SuperBlackHawk will look good on my corpse, much more impressive than a can of pepper spray that I shot the guide in the eye with. Don't want the cause of death to read, 'blinded guide unable to focus .375 H and H on bear to save client armed with pepper extract. Of course more reading will convince you of the power of pepper over lead.
